A Student Information System is the system of record for your academic operations. HEM’s SIS centralizes student data, academic calendars, cohorts, courses, attendance, grades, and finances so admissions, faculty, and support staff can all work from the same up‑to‑date information instead of spreadsheets and disparate tools.

Cloud delivery means faster setup, lower maintenance, continuous updates, and secure access anywhere, with role-based permissions, audit trails, and integrations handled for you—no need to host or patch servers yourself. With HEM-SP, there are no local servers to maintain, updates are deployed centrally, and your teams can securely access the system from anywhere. Running on AWS with auto-scaling, encryption in transit and at rest, plus managed backup and disaster recovery, the platform delivers higher reliability and a lower total cost of ownership than most on-premise deployments.

Organize students by cohort, program, campus/brand, and term while building flexible timetables with lessons and classrooms, managing exceptions such as breaks and holidays, and running cohort-level actions like bulk enrollments or progress updates. Programs and courses are grouped into cohorts with defined start and end dates, semesters, and lesson schedules, and you can create cohorts per program and/or course, map them to campuses and classrooms, and use the calendar and lesson modules to reflect even complex or irregular timetables.

Yes. HEM-SP includes a built-in CRM and also integrates with external CRMs such as Mautic, Salesforce, and HubSpot, as well as major LMS and campus systems via APIs and webhooks. This allows you to sync contacts, applications, enrollments, and grades between systems, reducing duplicate data entry and keeping every team aligned.

Instructors record attendance directly in the portal for each scheduled lesson, and these entries are available immediately to administrators and support staff in attendance views and reports. From there you can build filters and lists (for example, “students with X absences”) to monitor risk and trigger proactive outreach.

Student data is encrypted at rest (database and file storage) and in transit (TLS/HTTPS), protected by AWS security groups, web application firewalls, and regional data residency (Canada and EU). The platform is designed to support GDPR and FERPA compliance with role‑based access control, audit logging, and strong authentication, and payment flows are PCI DSS SAQ‑A compliant with card data handled entirely by certified gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, Helcim, Flywire, and Moneris.

Yes. The UI is built with HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap, so instructor and admin views (including attendance, timetables, and student records) are fully responsive on tablets and smartphones.

The SIS provides pivot tables and list-based reporting to track application volumes, enrollment by program and campus, tuition payments and outstanding balances, attendance, and academic performance. Data can be exported to spreadsheets or pushed into BI tools like Tableau or Power BI via integrations for deeper analysis.
